Case study
Visualforce to Lightning Service Console migration
Problem
Support ran on legacy Visualforce pages and JavaScript buttons that were not Lightning-ready. The team needed a modern, customized Lightning Service Console experience without breaking existing support workflows.
What I did
- Built Lightning pages with Lightning App Builder.
- Replaced Visualforce JavaScript buttons with Lightning-compatible navigation components and actions.
- Configured customized Lightning Service Console experiences (app, layouts, navigation, utilities) for support agents.
- Rebuilt and relocated reporting so it worked in the console (custom and standard reports).
Result
- Support agents moved onto Lightning Service Console.
- Removed the Visualforce and JavaScript-button dependency.
- Faster handling time, fewer case-handling errors, better visibility into support operations, and easier detection of mis-aligned case handling.
